Unconditional Guardianship: A Pitbull’s Protection for a 3-Month-Old Child

A young couple entrusts their 3-month-old child to a 76kg pitbull dog.

The strong and trained dog is capable of attacking intruders, yet the owners of Hulk still allow it to play with their child.

Hulk, weighing a whopping 76kg, is considered the largest pitbull in the world. Marlon and Lisa Grennan, the owners of Hulk, allow him to lick and play with their 3-month-old son, Jackson.

Mother Lisa, 25 years old, says, “I have no concerns about allowing Hulk around my child. It’s not a big deal.”

“When we brought Jackson home, Hulk rushed to shower him with affection,” recalls Lisa. “He would follow me when I took care of the baby. He would check on the baby if he cried. Hulk is a perfect protector and babysitter.”

“He follows me everywhere. He genuinely loves Jackson, and you can see it in Hulk’s eyes.”

However, Hulk is also trained to attack intruders. Lisa says, “He is a protective dog who can maintain balance and stability. His job is to protect the family. I trust Hulk. He knows Jackson is just a baby and needs gentleness.”

“I monitor everything. I would never leave Jackson alone on the floor with the dog.”

“The only thing people criticize us for is allowing Hulk to lick Jackson. I find it silly,” argues Lisa. “I let Hulk lick me every day, and I don’t think it’s dirty at all. But I also constantly monitor it and ensure Jackson’s safety.”

The couple currently resides in New Hampshire, USA.

Hulk weighs 24 times more than Jackson, but Marlon, the father, believes that his training and leadership will keep everyone safe. “When you are the leader of a pack with structures, rules, boundaries, limitations, and a leadership role, there is nothing to worry about. I always have control over everything.”
