It sits 564 meters above sea level and symbolizes the tranquility of the Swiss village of Iseltwald. The beautiful surroundings of the lake have inspired many artists.
Blausee

The tower has a two-tiered base, with its exterior made of high limestone and a Gothic-style stone facade. It features around 130 spiral staircase steps leading from the base to the observation deck, offering panoramic views of the Old Town, the Alps, and the Jungfraujoch Interlaken, known as the “roof of Europe.” The two attic floors are covered by a red-tiled conical roof, representing Gothic architecture.
St. Pierre Cathedral
St. Pierre Cathedral began construction in 1160 and took 100 years to complete. Throughout its history, the cathedral has undergone various repairs, renovations, and upgrades, including the prayer hall, interior, and decorative art works. The cathedral’s design primarily follows Romanesque architecture with some Gothic-style elements. Inside the cathedral, you can still find historical paintings hanging on the walls and Romanesque column capitals with Latin inscriptions. Notably, the St. Peter Altarpiece, painted by Konrad Witz in 1444, is currently preserved in an art and history museum in Geneva.
