The Garden Is Incredibly Cozy and Everything In It Is Done with Great Love
Pathways, a sunbathing area, and a place for a nighttime bonfire (where it’s more comfortable to lie down than to sit).
“This wall with a fence is visible from the living room windows, the terrace, almost from every corner of the garden. It appeared because my neighbors had a significantly elevated plot of land. The trampoline opposite my terrace and bouncing heads were not very pleasant, so the latticed wall is our idea of seclusion. I planted climbing roses and clematis next to it, which beautifully covered it in two years.”
Along the boundaries of the plot, there is a living hedge made of thuja and yew. Over the course of a couple of years, they have created a dense green fence.
“I think almost everyone has such a beautiful childhood memory – a delicious ripe cherry picked right from the tree, fresh strawberries, peach juice dripping down the chin. I think it’s worth having our own fruits, if only to give our children similar memories.”

Over the years, Martha planted many roses in the garden, totaling over a hundred. Each year, there are more and more plants in the garden – crocuses, daffodils, tulips, azaleas, and decorative garlic – blooming one after another from March to June.
