Being considered a werewolf, the baby was abandoned at a very young age, heartbreaking to see her body
(Image) Liu Jiangli, a 6-year-old girl, was abandoned by her parents due to a rare condition that causes her body to be covered in animal-like hair.
Baby girl Liu Jiangli, from Guiyang City in Guizhou Province, China, was born with a black coat on her face and 60% of her body. Ashamed of their daughter’s uniqueness, Jiangli’s mother ran away when she was only 2 years old. Shortly after, her father placed her in a childcare center but never returned to visit her.
The childcare center placed a notice in the newspaper in search of relatives for the “fur” girl. About 6 months later, Ms. Liu Mingying, a relative of Jiangli’s, came to the center and took her home to care for her.
Jiangli has always faced ridicule for her appearance. She struggled to make friends with other children as they were either afraid of her or would often tease her.
Currently, there is no official explanation for Jiangli’s unique condition. However, some doctors believe that she has Hypertrichosis Universalis syndrome, a rare genetic mutation that causes abnormal hair growth on the face and body. This syndrome is extremely rare, with an incidence of about 1 in 1 billion people.
Liu Jiangli, the schoolgirl who was abandoned by her family due to her rare condition, has been adopted. She suffers from a condition that causes her face and body to be partially covered in black fur.
At the age of two, Liu Jiangli was left at a nursery school, and the caretakers had to make a plea through local newspapers for her family to come forward since her appearance frightened the other children.
The six-year-old has a thick layer of black fur on the left side of her face and patches covering 60% of her body, including inside her left ear. She describes it as very itchy.
She has been nicknamed the “little monkey.” Her father never returned to pick her up from the nursery after dropping her off, following her mother’s departure from the family home.
Eventually, Liu Mingying, the grandfather of one of her cousins, took on the responsibility of caring for the young girl. However, he worries about being able to afford her education and fears that she will always face bullying due to her appearance.
Although Liu’s condition has not been officially diagnosed, it is believed that she may be suffering from Hypertrichosis Universalis, commonly known as Werewolf Syndrome.
