A Rare Phenomenon: Baby Born with Two Faces, a Normal Body

In a small suburb of Delhi, India, a very unique baby girl was born last March. She entered the world with four eyes, two noses, two mouths, two ears, and a shared dimple on her cheek. Similar to Lakshmi Tatma, a two-year-old girl born with four arms and four legs, she is revered as a reincarnated god by the local villagers who regularly sing and dance in her honor.

“When I first saw her, I had never witnessed something like this before, so naturally, I was a little scared,” her father was quoted as saying.

Both the young girl and her mother are in good health, and the family has no intentions of seeking surgery to correct the deformities.

“The doctor confirmed everything was normal when she was born, so why would we need medical intervention?” said the child’s father. “She is fed through one mouth and sucks her thumb with the other. We use whichever mouth is free to feed her.”
