Going ashore to sunbathe, the crocodile was mercilessly tormented by a pack of lions.
In the wild, Nile crocodiles can reach lengths of up to 7 meters and weigh around 1 ton. They are considered the “terror” of any animal species approaching the rivers in Africa.
Meanwhile, lions are also among the top predators in the food chain in African grasslands. Therefore, the battle between crocodiles and lions is always fierce.
While visiting the Entabeni Game Reserve in Waterberg, the 15-year-old boy Connor Dawes and his family captured a moment when a lion fiercely attacked a crocodile while the large reptile was sunbathing on the shore.
If underwater, the crocodile would undoubtedly not fear the lion. However, in this case, it is on land, and the lions have a superior number.
The powerful bites from the male lion inflicted immense pain on the crocodile, causing it to exhibit extreme agony.
Furthermore, the crocodile was at the brink of losing its life when it was bitten on the neck by the male lion.
Fortunately, the thick and tough skin layer prevented it from sustaining excessively severe injuries.
In the end, the crocodile managed to successfully escape.
