A Beauty Stone House on Ruins in Piatteda
This small country house is built on a picturesque wooded slope in the Italian Alps.
The ruins of an existing building were used as the foundation.
During the design process, orientation, scenic features, local traditions, and modern energy efficiency requirements were taken into account.
The result is a simple stone box with thick walls and a single-pitched flat roof.
The main materials used are stone, wood, metal, and concrete.
The fireplace, staircase, furniture, and even the concrete plumbing fixtures were also designed by the architect.
