A Miraculous Rescue Breathes Life into the Cat with Only Two Tiny Openings for Air to Pass Through Its Nostrils
Just two tiny holes were left for air to enter through her nose, as the cat had suffered a traumatic face wound that had completely severed her nose. In a state of shock and despair, she had given up any resistance she might have had and allowed herself to be caught and taken to the hospital, as if granting permission for us to attempt to save her life. The overwhelming pain and fear she experienced made it impossible for her to eat.
We diligently provided her with pain relief, carefully cleaned and flushed her wounds, and even removed maggots from another painful wound on her paw. However, on the first day, she refused to eat, and our worry began to mount as day two arrived without any improvement. Despite our efforts, she still showed no interest in food by the third day, and a sense of despair started to settle in.
Feeding her intravenously was not an option as she remained too active and alert. Cats can be particularly challenging to feed through an IV line unless they are nearly unconscious. Our hope was fading fast as day four dawned, and we struggled to come up with a solution.
Then, something miraculous happened on that fateful day. A glimmer of hope emerged, and the rest of her heartwarming story lay ahead of her.
