Nice’s Sports Director Talks Liverpool’s Pursuit of Khephren Thuram and Transfer Plans
Nice’s Sporting Director, Florent Ghisolfi, shared his thoughts on a player currently being pursued by Liverpool on France Bleu Azur.
Liverpool is witnessing the departure of several experienced midfielders, including James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and soon to be Jordan Henderson, with Fabinho also set to leave Anfield. The exodus of midfield stars has left Jurgen Klopp in need of reinforcements, despite the recent additions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Therefore, they are targeting a third signing with Romeo Lavia from Southampton and Khephren Thuram from Nice being top targets.
Of the two, Thuram is considered the more likely option for success, especially after Southampton recently turned down Liverpool’s £37 million offer for Lavia.
Speaking about Liverpool’s potential transfer targets on France Bleu Azur, Nice’s Sporting Director, Florent Ghisolfi, stated: “Both Khephren Thuram and Jean-Clair Todibo are attracting significant interest. Of course, we want to keep important players in our squad, but we will not hold them back by any means. If there is common ground between all parties, completing a deal is entirely possible.”
