Real Madrid Faces Opportunity to Acquire Talent from Barca’s Youth Academy

A young talent from Barcelona’s academy could potentially join Real Madrid this summer.

In the upcoming season, Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to continue their fierce competition for the La Liga crown. Los Blancos clearly need improvements after allowing Blaugrana to easily claim the championship in the previous season. A recent 0-3 defeat in a friendly match also highlighted that Coach Carlo Ancelotti has much work to do before the start of the Spanish League.

In fact, Real Madrid has been quite active in the summer transfer window, successfully bringing in highly-rated players like Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, and Joselu. At this moment, they are presented with the opportunity to acquire another promising newcomer, Ilaix Moriba, who hails from Barcelona’s academy.

Reports from Defensa Central (via Hard Tackle) suggest that the Guinea-born player has no future at RB Leipzig, and the German club has sent out offers to various potential buyers, including Real Madrid. However, if Moriba were to land at the Bernabeu this summer, he might find it challenging to secure a spot, as Real Madrid’s midfield is already quite densely populated.

Graduating alongside Pedri and Gavi, Moriba couldn’t stay at Camp Nou and had to move to Germany. It’s highly likely that the 20-year-old player will return to Spain to play football, whether that’s with Real Madrid or not.
