Leaving Arsenal, Folarin Balogun agrees to a new destination
According to RMC Sport, the London Gunners have not granted permission for striker Folarin Balogun to depart from the team.
Numerous reliable sources confirm that Arsenal is likely to sell Balogun this summer despite his excellent performance on loan at Reims. The reason is that Mikel Arteta is planning a transfer fundraising campaign after this season.
The 21-year-old player is having an outstanding campaign in Ligue 1. He scored his 21st goal of the season for Reims.
Balogun has agreed to join Monaco.
Notably, Balogun is not keen on returning to Arsenal when a guaranteed first-team position is not ensured. Conversely, the Gunners are willing to entertain offers for this player.
Arsenal believes that this summer is the best time to earn a significant amount of money from Balogun. However, the London-based club is obstructing Balogun’s departure.
Specifically, according to RMC Sport, Balogun has agreed to move to Ligue 1 after reaching a preliminary agreement with AS Monaco. Nevertheless, Arsenal rejected the proposed fee of around 40 million euros.
Sources assert that Monaco will return with a better offer. Balogun’s agreement to join Monaco is a significant step towards this team negotiating with Arsenal.
