Vin Diesel’s Frustration with Jason Momoa Revealed Behind the Scenes Tension in Fast X

According to Cbr, the 1967-born actor has expressed annoyance as his co-star receives praise while his own performance is critically panned. Reports suggest that Vin Diesel has been disgruntled with his colleague for “stealing the spotlight” in Fast X. An insider source revealed that Diesel not only resented his co-star but also refused to take responsibility when the film faced negative criticism.

“Vin is frustrated that Jason Momoa is being hailed as the only bright spot in the movie. It makes him feel overshadowed in the very franchise he himself has built,” the source added.

Specifically, Jason Momoa’s portrayal of the villainous Dante Reyes received considerable acclaim from audiences. Experts noted that alongside his captivating presence, Momoa’s performance stood out as a rare highlight in the film.

In contrast, Vin Diesel received negative evaluations for his stiff and unnatural acting in the role of the male lead, Dominic Toretto. Despite appearing in numerous installments of the franchise, the 55-year-old actor’s performance has shown little progression.

This is not the first time Vin Diesel has had disagreements with his co-stars. Previously, he had a feud with The Rock during the filming of a movie. The animosity between the duo reached its peak during the production of The Fate of the Furious in 2017. However, after some time, it seems that the two have reconciled, as The Rock recently announced his return to the blockbuster franchise.

Fast X was released on May 19th, much to the anticipation of fans worldwide. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the Universal Pictures film continues to attract global audiences. As of May 31st, the movie has grossed $523.5 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo. This includes $117.8 million from domestic box office and $405.7 million from international markets. Observers believe that the film needs to reach a minimum of $850 million to start turning a profit.
