A Stool of Friendship: How a Step Stool Bridged the Gap Between Dogs

Neighbors can help facilitate friendships between dogs using step stools, just like people can become friends with their neighbors. Sometimes, the strongest connections can form over a backyard fence, and some dogs even offer their neighbors massages. In this case, Giuseppe, the chocolate lab, has moved to a new neighborhood where he quickly became friends with two Great Dane siblings, Bambino and Vito, from the other side of the fence. However, Giuseppe had trouble seeing over the fence due to his shorter height compared to the Great Danes. He tried several times to jump high enough to greet his neighbors properly, but he was never successful.

Luckily, Giuseppe’s owner witnessed the whole incident and decided to set up a stool for his dog to stand on and greet his new buddies. “My first reaction used to be to burst out laughing,” Afton said. “I couldn’t help myself after seeing how his tiny feet had stretched, and his tail had blurred from swinging too rapidly. So lovely.” Robert took a snapshot of the scene and sent it to his new neighbors, who thought it was such a nice shot that they posted it on Instagram. Now, Giuseppe and his neighbors are pals. They frequently go on walks and play together. It’s fantastic that these dogs have formed a lovely connection because of a simple stool.
