Amelia’s Enchanting Bond with Animals Since the Age of 3
Amelia has been forming an extraordinary connection with nature since the age of three. Her mother, Robin Schwartz, captures these intimate moments through photography.
Schwartz says that Amelia exhibits natural behavior around animals, stating, “She establishes relationships with animals with great composure, kindness, and respect, instilling a calming effect on every creature she encounters.”
It was when Schwartz noticed her two Cornish Rex cats constantly vying for a spot in Amelia’s lap that she began to recognize the deep bond her daughter shares with animals.
At such a young age, Amelia was strong and fearless, never experiencing any strange or unusual encounters. Until recently, she took these opportunities for granted, seeing them as something ordinary.
It wasn’t until people started pointing out how lucky she was to spend time with so many animals that Amelia realized just how extraordinary it was.
Now that she has grown even more, she aspires to become a primatologist studying gibbons. In an interview with The New Yorker, Amelia expresses, “I am an animal lover. I cannot imagine life without animals. I have always been this way.”
The line between animals and humans is often blurred. Through the innocence of a child, we have witnessed that animals and humans can coexist not only as companions but also as equal partners who can influence each other.
