Facing Adversity with Grace: Bethany, the Misfit Dog, Seeks a Genuine Adoption

Berwajah Miring, This Dog is Searching for a Compassionate Person to Adopt Him

Intisari-Online.com – A dog was born with a severe facial deformity. This condition has shocked people, and now the dog is looking for someone to adopt him.

The dog named Bethany was born with her entire muzzle curved and hanging to one side, exposing her teeth.

Despite her lopsided face, it does not affect the health of this happy dog.

Bethany, who has been examined and approved to travel from Romania to the UK after her rescue, can eat, drink, run, and play just like any other puppy.

She is currently under the care of the charity organization Safe Rescue For Dogs, based in Norwich, Norfolk.

Volunteer officer Zoe Casey, 46, hopes that whoever adopts Bethany will be able to accept her deformity.

Instead, the future owner will witness Bethany’s “amazing” personality.

Casey said, “There is absolutely nothing wrong with Bethany – she doesn’t even snore when she sleeps.

“People ask, ‘Are we sure we are doing the right thing?’ and ‘how do we know?’ We know because she has been examined and checked in Calais and Dover by DEFRA.

“If she were sick, they would have picked it up as that is their job. She is perfectly fine. She is the most incredible dog. She is gentle and happy.

Casey added, “There is a mentality of people looking for the perfect-looking dog, but I think people need to look deeper.

“We hope Bethany finds a normal family who treats her like a normal dog because she is normal, even if she doesn’t look like it.

“We just want a good and kind family who will take care of her and not judge her by her appearance, but for who she truly is, an extraordinary dog.

“What she looks like is irrelevant because her heart is pure gold.”

Bethany’s mother was a stray dog in Romania when she became pregnant, but a family took her in and helped care for her five puppies until they could be rescued.

It is believed by veterinarians in Romania that the puppies are part Pekingese breed, and a mix of genes may have contributed to Bethany’s crooked face.
