Key Trends in Landscape Design

The art of gardening extends over time, making it seem unnecessary to follow “fashion” trends. However, I have identified global trends that have already won over numerous hearts, and it seems they are here to stay.

Ecological Gardens
These gardens are based on selecting plants according to their native regions. They do not require additional efforts such as watering (saving water!), hoeing (saving energy), or covering (saving energy and materials) to maintain their decorative appeal.

For arid regions, drought-resistant plants are chosen, while moisture-loving plants are preferred for areas with high humidity.

Color
Flowering plants add color for only a short period, so the focus shifts to plants with decorative foliage throughout the season.

Perennials that bloom for an extended period should not be overlooked either.

Asian Motifs
Japanese and Chinese gardens embody philosophy and a deep connection with nature.

When creating such a garden, the master takes inspiration from the existing terrain.
