Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem took some time off for a sun-soaked family vacation in Italy, following the completion of their respective movie projects.

The couple, both esteemed Oscar winners, found relaxation on the beaches, accompanied by their 10-year-old son, Leo Encinas Cruz, and 7-year-old daughter, Luna Encinas Cruz.

Penelope Cruz was spotted wearing a stylish blue one-piece swimsuit and shades, while Javier Bardem sported black trunks as they indulged in the breathtaking waters. The couple was seen enjoying quality time together away from the children, relishing the picturesque views and sharing affectionate moments.

The getaway occurred after Penelope Cruz, aged 47, wrapped up filming for the upcoming action thriller “The 365,” in which she stars alongside Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger, and Lupita Nyong’o. Javier Bardem, aged 52, recently concluded his own project, “Being the Ricardos,” centered around the lives of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, with Nicole Kidman as his co-star.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem’s love story began in 1992 while filming the Spanish drama “Jamón Jamón,” but their romantic relationship didn’t blossom until 2007. They tied the knot three years later in an intimate ceremony in The Bahamas. Despite their shared profession, Cruz and Bardem have been careful about working together frequently, emphasizing that they don’t take their characters home after shooting and that their similar work styles and mutual trust contribute to their collaborations.

Their on-screen partnerships have included films like “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2008), “The Counselor” (2013), and “Everybody Knows” (2018). The couple appreciates the occasional joint project and has no plans to overdo it, aiming for a balanced approach to their personal and professional lives.
