Resilient Beagle Finds Hope and Happiness in New Ownership Despite Blindness
A sightless Beagle, abandoned and injured, discovered a new lease on life when he found loving owners. The Beagle was spotted wandering along a road in Alabama, bearing the scars of previous brutal harm. One of his eyes and his neck had been damaged, while the other eye was completely absent. Lost and alone, he was in desperate need of care.
The Beagle, named Shep, was adopted by his new mother after being rescued by Two by Two Animal Rescue, who had posted about him on Facebook. When Micah Larsen Brannon, Shep’s mother, saw his photo one night, she instantly felt that they were meant to be together. It was revealed that Shep had likely been tied up and left alone for some time before being discovered, according to a veterinarian. He had been found frozen and severely impaired by his eye ailment.
