A man’s life changed after gaining a resemblance to Vin Diesel

Hitting the gym, shaving his head, and changing his fashion style were among the things that this man did to become as similar as possible to Vin Diesel, ever since a meme of him went viral. Arthid Duangsri (38 years old), from Chiang Rai, Thailand, became famous after a meme showed his “remarkable” resemblance to actor Vin Diesel. He even earned the nickname “Vin Diesel of the Golden Temple.”

In the city where Arthid resides, he could be considered the most recognizable person as everyone remembers his face wherever he goes. In fact, when walking on the street, many people call him Vin Diesel instead of his real name. For the past 10 years, Arthid has considered Vin Diesel, or more specifically the character Dominic Toretto, the main character in the action film series Fast & Furious, as his ideal role model to emulate.

Previously, before 2014, Arthid was a dancer in a local band. At that time, he had a rather “artistic” appearance with long hair, a goatee, and a slender figure.Suddenly, a friend told Arthid that if he shaved his head, he might look like Vin Diesel. This half-joking, half-serious remark sparked the idea for Arthid to become the “Asian version of Vin Diesel.”

To realize this idea, over the next few years, Arthid threw himself into the gym, worked on his weight, and built a muscular and robust physique. Moreover, he meticulously imitated Vin Diesel’s everyday attire and accessories.

Quickly, the photo was verified by the real Vin Diesel himself, and he couldn’t help but be surprised when he saw his doppelganger.

“That’s me, you don’t need to send any more photos,” Vin Diesel shared.

In an interview, Arthid couldn’t contain his excitement when talking about his new appearance.

“Vin Diesel has truly inspired me to change my life. I used to be very insecure about my looks, but now I have a decent physique thanks to the gym. I can say that I’ve transformed because of Vin, and my family is also thrilled about it. If I ever meet him in person, I would definitely give him a big hug,” expressed Arthid.
