Jesus’ Injury Shakes Arsenal, Arteta’s Plan with Balogun Solidified
The Spanish strategist has shared his thoughts regarding the alternatives to Jesus.
Arsenal received unfortunate news ahead of their clash with AS Monaco as forward Gabriel Jesus suffered a knee injury, requiring surgical intervention.
With the new season approaching, Jesus’ absence could significantly impact the Gunners’ attacking prowess. Some opinions suggest that, given the current situation, Manager Mikel Arteta will retain Folarin Balogun to step in for the Brazilian star, instead of selling the player to Inter Milan.
Nonetheless, Arsenal’s head coach has affirmed that his plans remain unchanged.
“Our plans with Flo haven’t changed at all, but unfortunately, with Jesus, we won’t have his services. We have other options to play, so we will adapt.”
In Jesus’ striker position, Arteta still has choices such as Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard. Additionally, newcomer Kai Havertz can also play in this role.
