Lionel Messi has been exploring homes in south Florida together with his family. The Argentine star was accompanied by his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their eldest son, Thiago, who sported an Inter Miami jersey with his father’s name.

Messi’s move to Inter Miami was confirmed a few months ago, marked by a grand unveiling event ahead of his debut. The 36-year-old footballer scored a last-minute winning goal during his debut match.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has taken on the role of Inter Miami’s captain, followed up with two goals and an assist in his second appearance.

Beyond the field, Messi seems to be enjoying his time off as well. He and Antonela were seen with smiles on their faces as they explored a luxurious house in Boca Raton, which is situated about an hour north of Miami and only 25 minutes from DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

The couple toured the property, which appeared to include amenities like a golf putting green. Someone was even seen demonstrating golf techniques to Messi using a club.

Messi and Antonela, who got married in 2017, have three children: Thiago (10), Mateo (seven), and Ciro (five). This wouldn’t be their first property in south Florida. They already own a luxury $9 million apartment overlooking Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami. This apartment was reportedly purchased back in 2019.

The 60-floor Porsche Design Tower, situated between Bal Harbour and Aventura, features luxurious amenities such as a private restaurant, an ocean-facing outdoor lounge, a cinema, golf simulators, and racing simulators.

Following his move to Inter Miami, Messi is expected to earn between $50 to $60 million per season as part of his two-and-a-half-year contract.

Antonela and Thiago enjoyed the house-hunting trip, and Messi appeared to be in high spirits as he explored potential homes with his family.

Despite the breakdown of talks between former Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez and Messi’s new club Inter Miami, Suarez revealed that he and Messi still dream of retiring together in the United States, a plan they had discussed back during their Barcelona days.
