Liverpool Makes £21 Million Offer for Brazilian Midfielder
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool has initiated negotiations by offering £21 million to acquire the services of a standout player from Fluminense.
As per the Daily Mail’s report, Liverpool has tabled a £21 million bid to potentially sign Andre Trindade. The Brazilian midfielder has impressed while representing Fluminense. Andre has participated in a total of 144 matches for Fluminense in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A since being promoted to the first team in 2020.
At the international level, Andre made his debut for the Brazilian national team against Senegal in June. His current contract with Fluminense is set to expire in 2026. Earlier, the Brazilian club turned down a £19 million offer from Fulham for Andre’s transfer.
Liverpool is undergoing a personnel overhaul in the midfield following the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Henderson moved to Al Ettifaq in a £12 million deal, while Fabinho joined Al Ittihad for a transfer fee of £40 million.
Andre is highly regarded by many experts as a pivotal figure for Fluminense. The 22-year-old player shines in the defensive midfield role. On Liverpool’s side, manager Jurgen Klopp is aiming to add another quality anchor before the close of the summer 2023 transfer window.
