Liverpool’s Advantage in the Lavia Deal
Liverpool has been quite successful in their summer transfer activities, securing two promising signings, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. However, this duo is not enough to compensate for the departure of three midfielders, namely James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita.
Adding to their concerns, Jordan Henderson has also left Anfield, while Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara are facing interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia. Consequently, Liverpool is in urgent need of a new midfielder, and Romeo Lavia from Southampton emerges as a top-notch candidate.
According to Empire of The Kop, journalist Sacha Tavolieri shared on his personal page: “Despite Chelsea’s attempt to approach this deal, Liverpool remains the frontrunner to secure Romeo Lavia’s signature from Southampton. The Reds have presented a more compelling plan to convince the Belgian player. Additionally, the prospect of participating in European competitions is a crucial key.”
Liverpool’s advantage in the negotiations lies in their appealing project and the opportunity to compete in top-tier European tournaments, factors that seem to give them the upper hand in the race for Romeo Lavia’s signature.
