Mane’s Joyous Celebration in Sync with Ronaldo’s Goal-scoring Streak at Al Nassr
In a thrilling match on August 6th, CLB Al Nassr, led by the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, secured a 3-1 victory over Raja Casablanca in the Arab Club Champions Cup. The game witnessed Ronaldo’s trademark “siu” celebration after he netted the opening goal in the 19th minute, assisted by Talisca. Notably, Sadio Mane, the newly acquired talent from Bayern Munich, joined in the jubilation with a synchronized “siu” celebration alongside Ronaldo.
The 31-year-old Senegalese forward, Mane, made his move to Al Nassr this summer from Bayern Munich, inking a lucrative four-year deal and reportedly earning over £650,000 per week after taxes. Al Nassr’s commitment to securing Mane’s talents was evident, with a transfer fee of approximately £24 million paid to Bayern Munich. Mane became the fourth notable signing for Al Nassr during the 2023 summer transfer window, following Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozovic, and Seko Fofana. At Al Nassr, Mane proudly wears the coveted number 10 jersey.
Returning to the match, Al Nassr displayed their prowess in the first half, netting three goals against Raja Casablanca. Following Ronaldo’s opening strike, Sultan Al Ghannam doubled the lead in the 29th minute. Seko Fofana extended the advantage to 3-0 for Al Nassr in the 38th minute. However, Raja Casablanca managed to pull one back with a deflected own goal by Abdullah Madu just three minutes later, bringing the score to 3-1.
For Ronaldo, the 38-year-old Portuguese star, his goal-scoring streak has seen him find the back of the net in three consecutive matches for Al Nassr. His contributions have been instrumental in propelling the Saudi Arabian club into the semifinals of the Arab Club Champions Cup.
The next challenge for Al Nassr in this competition will be against CLB Al-Shorta, scheduled for August 9th at 22:00. A successful outcome could lead Al Nassr to the final (August 12th) and a shot at the championship title. As of now, Ronaldo continues his quest for his first title with Al Nassr.
