Real Madrid Pays £31 Million per Goal for Eden Hazard
Mail Sport reveals that Eden Hazard will consider his options for the future as the summer transfer window closure approaches in just 4 weeks.
Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid in 2019 with a transfer fee of up to £130 million. However, he suffered numerous injuries during his time at Bernabeu and has been labeled by Sport as “one of Madrid’s worst signings,” having scored only 7 goals.
Real Madrid decided to part ways with Hazard in June.
Hazard recently renewed his contract with Real Madrid in June. According to Salary Sport, Hazard is paid €23.2 million (£20 million) per season. Therefore, the White Swan has paid approximately £31 million per goal that Hazard has scored during his time there.
Sport describes retiring as an “unthinkable” option for Hazard a few seasons ago. However, at the current moment, the Belgian international has not received offers from any teams and might be on the verge of ending his football career.
The best of Hazard was left at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and Europa League twice. During his time there, Hazard scored 110 goals in 352 matches and secured four “Player of the Year” awards.
