Real Madrid vs Man Utd: Clash of Titans; Debut of New Signings

The troops led by Ancelotti will face a formidable opponent tomorrow morning.

Expected Lineups:

Real Madrid:
Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Alaba; Kroos; Valverde, Modric; Bellingham; Joselu, Vinicius

Man Utd:
Onana; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mount; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Rashford

Form of Both Teams:

Real Madrid:
This season, Los Blancos will no longer have the services of Karim Benzema. In the match against AC Milan, Coach Carlo Ancelotti used a 4-4-2 formation with two strikers, Brahim Diaz, and Joselu. This formation has been well exploited, especially with the potential brought by the new signing, Jude Bellingham.

Although they were surpassed by Barcelona to win La Liga and were defeated in the Champions League semi-final by Manchester City, Real Madrid still enjoyed success in the previous season, winning the Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup. However, Ancelotti is hoping to restore their position in major tournaments, whether or not there are any further personnel additions.

Man Utd:

The team at Old Trafford has had three clean-sheet victories in the pre-season tour before suffering a 1-3 loss to Wrexham with an all-youth lineup.

Ten Hag has encouraged continuous pressure and capitalizing on advantages. This pre-season phase has been a time for the Dutch manager to give opportunities to young players to showcase their abilities and compete for starting spots, as seen with midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

Man Utd hopes to carry on the performances from the previous season, where they secured a third-place finish in the Premier League, trailing champions Manchester City by 14 points and ending a six-year trophy drought by lifting the EFL Cup in February. The Red Devils also reached the FA Cup final, losing to their city rivals.

Team News:

Real Madrid:

Real Madrid’s only injury concern is midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is expected to be out until September due to a thigh problem suffered in training last week.

Man Utd:

Midfielder Fred has not joined the pre-season phase due to personal reasons and is unlikely to be available for the match against Los Blancos. Left-back Tyrell Malacia is absent due to a thigh injury.

However, Anthony Martial is expected to return to full training before this encounter after recovering from a wrist issue. Meanwhile, Amad Diallo has eased concerns about a foot injury he suffered in the match against Arsenal.

In this match, Ten Hag may also introduce new signing Andre Onana.

Prediction:

Real Madrid will likely stick to the 4-4-2 formation but may make some changes in personnel, with Joselu or Brahim Diaz possibly making way for Vinicius Junior.

Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, and Luka Modric are likely to feature from the start.

As for Man Utd, apart from Onana’s position, Ten Hag may use a similar lineup as in the clash against Arsenal. With their current form, both teams promise to deliver an exciting and goal-filled match.
